This extension renders a line of text using
"Hershey" fonts for plotters, derived from
NBS SP-424 1976-04, "A contribution to
computer typesetting techniques: Tables of
Coordinates for Hershey's Repertory of
Occidental Type Fonts and Graphic Symbols."
These are not traditional "outline" fonts,
but are instead "single-stroke" fonts, or
"engraving" fonts where the character is
formed by the stroke (and not the fill).
